Breath donates van to Ukrainian volunteers

The happiness beams off Iryna's face when we say goodbye next to the Van Brienenoord Bridge in Rotterdam. Happy that in a day or two she will be able to embrace her 18 and 16 year old children again. The volunteer and her driver are ready for the return to Ukraine with a delivery van sponsored by Breath Care for Kids. They have traveled on a coachline from Ukraine via Poland and Germany to collect the van in The Netherlands. The van will now make a 1.700 kilometer long journey to eastern Ukraine. Before its final leg the van's interior will be slightly modified and then it will be used to support the people who are still living close to the battle front.

Iryna can talk in a very matter of fact manner about the whistling and the roaring of the rockets that the Russians spray over Ukraine each and every night. Rockets and missiles that regularly pass over her home and her town. But when you look into her eyes just a bit deeper, you'll see a mixture of fear, worries and anger.

Breath Care for Kids is actively making small contributions to the brave battle for freedom and independence that the Ukrainians are fighting every day and night against the Russian invaders. We hold on to the thought that every droplet makes a difference in the future of this beautiful country and its beautiful citizens and that one day it will help in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
